Wedding Essentials: All the Information You Could Possibly Need

Ceremony Details:

• The ceremony begins at 2pm, on July 11th, in an outdoor space near St. Francis-in-the-Wood.  We will have refreshments in the church hall afterwards.

• As it will be held outside, seating will be limited, so wear comfortable shoes for any weather (you can always change them later).
• Parking is an EXTREME issue in the area, so carpool if you can! Please note: spaces at the church are reserved for elderly guests, and those with small children.

Reception Details:

• The reception will be held at the Pinnacle Hotel, in North Vancouver. Drinks will start at 5pm, and dinner is to be served at 6. We will dance into the wee hours...
• Parking under the hotel is $3.00/hr, at all times (up to a daily maximum), but there is also ample street parking (1 & 2 hour spaces) within a few blocks, which will be unlimited after 6pm.  There is also parking in the nearby ICBC building, free after 6pm.
• The hotel is located next to Lonsdale Quay, so Seabus and bus transportation are easily accessible. Please find a responsible way home.
• ***Dinner starts at 6pm, drinks are available starting at 5, but the North Vancouver Night Market is also open in front of the hotel, starting at 5pm, and is certainly worth a walk through before dinner.

Attire:

• Relatively formal attire is appropriate, but should be balanced with your personal comfort. Know that the bridal party will be dressed to the nines!
• Highland dress is more than welcome.

Gifts:

• When it comes to gifts, we are in the very blessed position of having everything that we could possibly need (and little space for anything else).  While a few things have come to mind as we put our heads together, what we would really love is a little extra boost to our honeymoon budget.  If you can think of that perfect gift, something you know would be just the thing for us, then please do pick it out!  If nothing comes right to mind, it would be great if you could help send us to Iceland and the U.K. - We take off on Monday, July 14^th!

• We are also staying at The Pinnacle Hotel, in North Vancouver. Our preferred-guest rate stands until May 27th, so long as there is space in the hotel. If you wish to stay, please book ASAP. Please find the hotel information you will need here.
• For those staying longer, or who wish for larger/more affordable accommodations, The Holiday Inn, just down the hill from Kim's dad's house (he can be found in the pub there very now and again) is a great choice. If you wish to stay there, you have two options: There is an excellent 7+ night rate for those staying longer, or a wedding rate. Our names and the date of the wedding are in the register, so you should not have trouble when booking - be sure to mention the wedding, so you get the special rate, and are placed with our other guests.

• DeBorah, like 'Devorah,' is an especially helpful person to talk to, but I am sure any staff member will be able to assist you.
• The morning following the wedding, we will be having breakfast in the hotel dining room at 9am. Those who wish to do so are welcome to join us, but should make sure to call the front desk and make their own arrangements for a table etc.

• WestJet has been kind enough to offer our guests a promotional code, good for 10% off most of their fares (excluding business class, and seat sales). Please find the WestJet information here. If you do choose to take advantage of this offer, please note that it is only good for flights to and from Vancouver, and that you must phone the airline to make your booking.
